Courses
Craobh Haven Watersports follows the RYA Sailing Scheme for courses; however we are flexible and happy to accommodate you and your family/group needs. If you simply want an hour on the water or something tailor made then please contact us and we will come up with a package to suite your requirements.
The best way to get to grips with any type of sailing is to begin with dinghies as this provides both adults and children a great start in the learning process. The majority of our RYA courses may be completed over two days or three days, however courses can also be grouped together to give you a four or five day course in order to help you achieve more from your holiday. An example may be to undertake RYA Level 1 & 2 courses combined over 5 days.

Seamanship and Day Sailing Courses
Both the seamanship skills course and the day sailing course offer a chance to improve confidence and competence in going further afield upon small craft. They provide an ideal platform for taking you and your family for safe enjoyable days out on the water. The course will include the planning and execution of a short cruise.
Generally, you will be ready for these courses if you have completed Level 2 or 3 of the National Sailing Scheme, or Stage 3 or 4 of the Youth Sailing Scheme, and have had some practice too.
RYA Seamanship CourseRYA Day Sailing Course
Been a while since you were out on the water, or new to the sport? Our instructors are available for private tuition by the hour. If you have never sailed before and want a gentle introduction to sailing, we are pleased to offer a “Try a sail” with one of our RYA qualified instructors.
Powerboating
Power boating is a great way to get you and your friends out on the water and blow away some cobwebs! Although powerboats are relatively quick and simple to ‘jump in and go’, there are some important skills to be learnt. Our Valiant Rib (rigid inflatable boat), Fast Fisher, and tiller steered Avon all offer the perfect platforms in which to learn and practise your skills. Courses are both informative and fun, allowing our instructors to pass on their knowledge and give you the confidence required to enjoy powerboating with safety at the forefront.
